Port Commission minutes from 2004 describe Pier 70 as "home of the ship repair industry." A 2011 agenda notes the Department of Defense "awarded the Port a total of $2.28 million" for environmental clean-up. A 2015 agenda presents a Forest City mixed-use plan, a proposed Pier 70 Special Use District, and a BAE Systems lease of "approximately 14.4 acres improved with 19 buildings." Pier 70 is operated by the Port of San Francisco, whose FY2025 budget line is $156M; capital records show $7,827,325.29 paid to Historic Pier 70 LLC.
