What does this number measure?
Each contract is published with the maximum it may reach over its whole term, often four years. What the City then pays each holder is not published; its total spending is in the executed budget. The page’s number adds those maximums for the contracts signed in the year; a multi-year framework counts in the year it is signed, a shared lot counts once.
How many contracts drew a single bid?
The number of bids received has been published since 2024 in the essential public procurement data. A single bid can come from a very specialised market, or from a procedure without competition allowed by the procurement code. The data does not say which.
Where do these figures come from?
The City of Paris’s contract list on opendata.paris.fr, completed by the national essential procurement data (DECP, data.gouv.fr) for the contracts it does not contain. A contract published by both sources counts once. A lot won by several companies is published once per company; it counts once here. Contracts awarded for the Métropole du Grand Paris are not counted.
