What does this number measure?
The year’s capital spending in the administrative account: what the City paid to build, renovate or buy, excluding debt principal repayment and equity stakes. A three-year worksite appears in three years, each for what was paid that year.
Why is only 14% of the work named?
The administrative account gives the year’s total. Its annexes name only 366 operations, for €219.6 M: 14% of the total. The rest is attached to no named operation. An operation’s amount is what was paid in the year (payment appropriations disbursed, as the annex puts it), not its total cost. 26 operations are citywide, with no arrondissement. 2% of the operations have no address and do not appear on the map.
Where do these numbers come from?
The City’s administrative accounts in the M57 nomenclature on opendata.paris.fr. The operations come from the “Localised investments” annexes: a dataset up to 2022, then the PDFs read page by page.
